Indeed, Scott Walker has not only done much to dis-enfranchise and dis-empower middle class workers in Wisconsin, but the lower class has been similarly eviscerated by his draconian policies. And yet it is these very same middle- and lower-class citizens who voted to re-elect him to office! How perverse! I can still hear their incessant, insipid bleating: “My property taxes! My property taxes!” How pathetic! “Get an idea who voted for Walker in the Recall election with emails contacting the Scott Walker Watch web site...from delusional half-baked Walker fans who seriously have no idea of what their precious leader has done to Wisconsin.” Way to go sheeple! Way to go! Your proclivity for stupidity will be the death of us all!
Let’s just examine some of Scottie’s many transgressions, shall we? “Walker instituted one-week waiting periods for claimants to receive unemployment insurance while for months heartlessly refusing to accept federal funding for extended unemployment benefits, leaving prior recipients flapping in the breeze of desperate uncertainty. Walker claimed that he wouldn’t raise taxes, then immediately instituted cuts to the Homestead and Earned Income Tax credits for people who needed tax credits the most. Walker cut-off state funding to Planned Parenthood and terminated the state’s contract with PP for the Wisconsin Well Woman Program, making it far more difficult for thousands of underinsured and uninsured women to receive accessible and affordable reproductive health care, contraception, cancer screenings and overall preventative health care. The legislature in Fitzwalkerstan pushed bills intended to severely lessen tenants’ rights, making it easier for landlords to evict, deny the return of security deposits and look into an indivudual’s past history in order to deny housing. Walker’s budget included a devastating $1.6 billion dollars in cuts to the public education system, while eliminating the Wisconsin FoodShare program for lawfully present immigrants. Walker signed into law the repeal of the Equal Pay Enforcement Act that protected not only women, but ANY MINORITY who was discriminated against when it came to pay equity. Walker ensured that over 17,000 individuals were kicked off of BadgerCare programs while tens of thousands more are despicably being kept on the waiting list, even though openings exist in the program.
“And who could forget the appalling attempt to disenfranchise people across the state via the onerous and since-ruled unconstitutional Voter ID law…which would have most greatly affected students, the poor, the elderly, the disabled and minorities. These are the oft-forgotten members of our society. Their voices need to be heard as much, if not more so, than the middle and upper classes of American society. We always hear politicians nationally and in our own state talk about the right-wing extremists’ ‘War on the Middle Class’…and rightfully so. But we don’t hear NEARLY as often about the disgusting attacks that Scott Walker has engaged in on the lower-income individuals of our society. His policies are intended to keep those on the bottom rung of the socioeconomic hierarchy in their present situation permanently. He doesn’t care about helping the lower class… he wants to create a permanent lower CASTE. His complete lack of empathy for those individuals whose lives he has ravaged is more apparent with each passing day.” -Defend Wisconsin
So given Walker’s “crimes against humanity”, his total and abject disregard for the middle- and lower-class citizens of Wisconsin, why did these very sheeple vote to re-elect him? “Those that voted for Walker got duped by an overwhelming amount of deceptive political ads with actors being puppets with carefully messaged scripts. Walker, who got his start and made his career begin on a recall race in Milwaukee, was able to dupe his supporters that Milwaukee is ‘the problem’. Walker pissed away at least $25 million to save himself for the time being…
“Walker may not be able to finish his term after being indicted for his crimes as both governor and Milwaukee County Executive, but Wisconsin may be guaranteed to be headed to becoming a backwater, flyover state where the environment will be decimated, where schools will be corporatized and become laughable failures, where more teens will become pregnant or get sexually transmitted diseases due to ignorance taught in schools about sex education, where women can be reminded they don’t have equal rights, where science related to stem cell research will go to other more intelligent states, where universities will have a brain drain where the most talented teachers exit, where poor children, seniors, the disabled and students will have to do more with a lot less.
“No major companies offering decent jobs with liveable wages will move to Wisconsin. Walker has poisoned the well and he’s grabbing for more poison with his divisiveness and extremist tendencies. Walker’s Wisconsin may become the Northern version of Mississippi…
“Those who voted for Walker who are in private unions can look forward to Wisconsin becoming a right-to-work (for less) state. With that coming change, they can then fight in the gutter for the cheapest wage without a reasonable contract. They can look forward to more dangers in the workplace, including more fatalities. They can look forward to having workers work with workers who barely have decent skills to do the needed job. They can also look forward to retire penniless without decent health benefits and have nothing to pass on to their children. They didn’t see what was coming and they will soon become the victims of their own reckoning. Indeed. The sheeple were played like a cheap fiddle. Walker’s billionaire boyfriends the Koch Brothers, et al., flooded the airwaves with attack ads and rank propaganda—and the sheeple ate it up! “In Public Opinion (1922), Walter Lippmann compared the masses to a ‘great beast’ and a ‘bewildered herd’ that needed to be guided by a governing class. He described the ruling elite as ‘a specialized class whose interests reach beyond the locality.’ This class is composed of experts, specialists and bureaucrats. According to Lippmann, the experts, who often are referred to as ‘elites,’ are to be a machinery of knowledge that circumvents the primary defect of democracy, the impossible ideal of the ‘omnicompetent citizen.’ The trampling and roaring ‘bewildered herd’ has its function: to be ‘the interested spectators of action,’ i.e. not participants. Participation is the duty of ‘the responsible man’, which is not the regular citizen.
“Mass media and propaganda are therefore tools that must be used by the elite to rule the public without physical coercion. One important concept presented by Lippmann is the ‘manufacture of consent’, which is, in short, the manipulation of public opinion to accept the elite’s agenda. It is Lippmann’s opinion that the general public is not qualified to reason and to decide on important issues. This is precisely what has happened in the recent Wisconsin recall election. The sheeple have been persuaded by the elite propaganda machine to support their own dis-empowerment and enslavement. Little Scooter ejaculated all over the working middle class and the poor, and the sheeple lapped it up! One really should not be surprised—after all, they ARE sheeple.
