The people of Wisconsin rally at the State Capitol on Tuesday, February 15th, 2012 to mark the one-
The people are outraged, and have been focused on the recall process. Over one million signatures were delivered in January, thus ensuring a recall election later this Spring. “It would mark the first gubernatorial recall election in Wisconsin history and only the third one in U.S. history. Organizers Tuesday also handed in 845,000 recall signatures against Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, as well as recall petitions against four GOP state senators, including Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald of Juneau.
“The sheer number of signatures being filed against Walker—nearly as many as the total votes cast for the governor in November 2010 and about twice as many as those needed to trigger a recall election—ensure the election will be held, said officials with the state Democratic Party and United Wisconsin, the group that launched the Walker recall.” -
“Scott Walker is about to indicted for lying about what he knew and when he knew it regarding using Milwaukee County government resources to illegally campaign for Governor in 2009 and 2010. He will soon be political poison besides already being an embarrassment to Wisconsin’s history.
"Although it's never mentioned in conservative interviews, Scott Walker is also facing a Recall election that will cost millions of dollars. Republicans, the Koch Brothers, American Legislative Exchange Council and Exchange Council and other GOP SuperPACs are about to spend millions of dollars on political advertising defending Walker's failed leadership and policies. Wisconsin will need to spend millions of dollars setting up recall elections at a time when those millions of dollars could go toward balancing the budget and helping those in need in these times.defending Walker's failed leadership and policies. “With Walker about to be indicted and recalled, it would be best for the Walker defenders to spend their money on better candidates for their greedy causes against working families. Wisconsin could spend the money that would go towards Walker’s recall to just focus on recalling Kleefisch and the four other Republican senators, saving millions of dollars”. -
