WHAT YOU ARE SEEING AND HEARING RIGHT NOW IS nothing but a dream.
You are dreaming right now in this moment. You are dreaming with the brain awake.

Dreaming is the main function of the mind, and the mind dreams twenty-four hours a day. it dreams when the brain is awake, and it also dreams when the brain is asleep. The difference is that when the brain is awake,
there is a material frame that makes us perceive things in a linear way. When we go to sleep we do not have
the frame, and the dream has the tendency to change constantly.

Humans are dreaming all the time. Before we were born the humans before us created a big outside dream that we will call society's dream or the dream of the planet… The dream of the planet includes all of society's rules,
its beliefs, its laws, its religions, its different cultures and ways to be, its governments, schools, social events,
and holidays… The outside dream has so many rules that when a new human is born, we hook the child's
attention
and introduce these rules into his or her mind. The outside dream uses Mom and Dad, the schools,
and religion to teach us how to dream.

Attention is the ability we have to discriminate and to focus only on that which we want to perceive...
The adults around us hooked our attention and put information into our minds through repetition. That is
the way we learned everything we know…

The outside dream hooks our attention and teaches us what to believe, beginning with the language that we speak. Language is the code for understanding and communication between humans. Every letter, every word
in each language is an agreement

As children, we didn't have the opportunity to choose our beliefs, but we agreed with the information that was passed to us from the dream of the planet via other humans. The only way to store information is by agreement.

The outside dream may hook our attention, but if we don't agree, we don't store that information. As soon as
we agree, we believe it, and this is called faith.

To have faith is to believe unconditionally… We trust what we believe, and our beliefs set us up for suffering.
It is as if we live in the middle of a fog that doesn't let us see any further than our own nose. We live in a fog
that is not even real. This fog is a dream, your personal dream of life—what you believe, all the concepts you
have about what you are, all the agreements you have made with others, with yourself, and even with God.

Your whole mind is a fog which the Toltecs called a mitote. Your mind is a dream where a thousand people talk
at the same time, and nobody understands each other. This is the condition of the human mind—a big mitote
and with that big mitote you cannot see what you really are. In India they call the mitote maya which means illusion. It is the personality's notion of "I am." Everything you believe about yourself and the world, all the concepts and programming you have in your mind, are all the mitote. We cannot see who we truly are;
we cannot see that we are not free.

The Four Agreements: A Toltec Wisdom Book, 1997, Don Miguel Ruiz

Dreams show you that you have the power to make a world as you would have it be, and that because you want it you see it. And while you see it you do not doubt that it is real. Yet here is a world, clearly within your mind, that seems to be outside... You seem to waken, and the dream is gone. Yet what you fail to recognize is that what caused the dream has not gone with it. Your wish to make another world that is not real remains with you. And what you seem to waken to is but another form of this same world you see in dreams. All your time is spent in dreaming. Your sleeping and your waking dreams have different forms, and that is all.

A Course In Miracles

Human beings are most amazing to us, because they have so many conditionings,
and teachings, and theories, and beliefs, that are applied as one goes through life.

Applied on top of the pure essence that is born as a human being. And by the time the person even reaches reasonable adulthood, that pure essence might be totally, completely covered over with teachings and beliefs
and indoctrinations, so that it's hard for the person to even have any sense that he is really a pure soul essence.

And all he can know is all these layers of teaching and belief and doctrine and so forth, that have been applied over that essence as it has come into a lifetime.

The Custodians, 1999, Delores Cannon

There is a subtle programming that exists in human consciousness in this world. You could say it's an agreement.
You could say it's a mass hypnosis. There is, in the minds of human beings, a connection with the collective consciousness, a part of which involves this agreement. You are born into this world in an open state, in an
open consciousness. But immediately there begins a subtle programming. You are hypnotized to experience
the world just as all other beings are experiencing it.

You are hypnotized with incantations: "See the ball. This is a tree. Look at the nice kitty". And it proceeds from these simpler levels all the way through your more advanced training. And inherent within these dialogues, these incantations, you experience a subtler energy, a pattern of belief, a pattern of agreement. "Well, we have all agreed that trees look like this and feel like this, and because we all hold this same agreement, you will also."
Most of you have not even seen the true presence of a tree. You have seen what you were programmed to
see in that tree. Most of you have not seen human beings as the incredible luminous light beings that you
are.
Because within this agreement is also the chosen picture, the expression that you will accept of what a human being looks like...

What you are working to accomplish in meditation and spiritual practice is to disconnect that internal pro-gramming, to have a direct experience of reality with all of its marvels and wonders. The filters that hold
you in limitation exist in the mind, in the ego perception.
They are planted there via these hypnotic incantations. And the only way to transcend them completely is to reach the still point within you at the
center of your being, to transcend that internal program, that ego you have come to accept as yourself.
In those moments, within that stillness, your spirit and the magnificence of who you are can penetrate
and  reveal to you the visions of your higher aspects.

Jewels On the Path, 1995, Eric Klein

"Today I have to pound the nail that Genaro put in, the fact that we are luminous beings. We are perceivers.
We are an awareness; we are not objects; we have no solidity. We are boundless. The world of objects and solidity is a way of making our passage on earth convenient. It is only a description that was created to help us. We, or rather our reason, forget that the description is only a description and thus we entrap the totality of ourselves in a vicious circle from which we rarely emerge in our lifetime...

Don Juan chuckled... "We are perceivers," he proceeded. "The world that we perceive, though, is an illusion.
It was created by a description that was told to us since the moment we were born.

"We, the luminous beings, are born with two rings of power, but we use only one to create the world. That ring, which is hooked very soon after we are born, is reason, and its companion is talking. Between the two they concoct and maintain the world.

"So, in essence, the world that your reason wants to sustain is the world created by a description and its dogmatic and inviolable rules, which the reason learns to accept and defend.

"The secret of the luminous beings is that they have another ring of power which is never used, the will. The trick of the sorcerer is the same trick of the average man. Both have a description; one, the average man, upholds it with his reason; the other, the sorcerer, upholds it with his will. Both descriptions have their rules and the rules are perceivable, but the advantage of the sorcerer is that will is more engulfing than reason.

"The suggestion that I want to make at this point is that from now on you should let yourself perceive whether the description is upheld by your reason or by your will. I feel that is the only way for you to use your daily world as a challenge and a vehicle to accumulate enough personal power in order to get to the totality of yourself...

Tales of Power, 1974, Carlos Casteneda

You have come to this place in time for a multiplicity of reasons. You have come for the opportunity to
transcend the parameters that define your existence.

And, in the same breath, you have come to deepen your connection with the interwoven aspects of
your beingness that give your life definition in the truest sense.

You have come to this experience you know as your life in order to be able to reject, completely, the
consensus view of reality imprinted upon you since birth, and to replace that structure of understanding
with a perspective that totally transcends it...

The question is, are you willing to risk relinquishing all that you know—the entire structure of the belief system that defines and constricts your reality—for the chance that you may experience the perspective of your own expanded self?

Are you willing to acknowledge that "truth," as your experience has shown it to be, may not be the entire picture? Are you willing to consider the possibility that all you may value could, in fact, be worthless in the higher sense? Are you willing to accept that you are, in fact, ready for this journey?...

From the perspective of a being immersed in a linear, physical reality, your challenge now is in your willingness to risk that the information that resonates to you as truth is actually truth. And that your objective in this stage in your development is to relinquish your hold on the limitation imposed by reality as you have known it to be. You are here to consider, and ultimately to embrace, the full multidimensional spectrum of your beingness as that
which you are.
You are here to begin to experience that expanded sense of self. And to walk in the fullness
of that state of beingness one step at a time...

You are a multidimensional being. You are not limited to the particular identity that you have come to regard
as you. There are viable aspects of self that live, unbeknownst to you, in parallel realities, who reach out, instinctively, for the lost aspect of self that you would consider to be you. To these beings, you are a missing
note in a chord that defines their very existence. You are the harmony toward which they strive and without which they are unable to achieve it.

The key to your full participation in this multidimensional effort is to be present in all that you are and in all that you do so that you are able to be present in all that you are to become...

The key to all you would accomplish in this lifetime hinges upon your willingness to embrace all that you are,
for the chance that you may come to experience—in Oneness—all that you truly Are.

Oneness: the Teachings, 2003, received & transcribed by Rasha

You are not simply a single point of consciousness. You actually exist in a multi-layered, multidimensional hierarchical spiritual structure that ascends from your individual consciousness through your higher self,
your soul, into the angelic realms, and finally all the way back to God.

You can imagine your entire spiritual self as a tree with trillions of branches all interconnected and all tracing
back to the same root structure. At the very tip of each branch are the leaves. These leaves are you. You,
as an individual consciousness, are the smallest piece of consciousness (of God) there is. We call you as an individual consciousness the cosmic monad.

Of course, you might not feel cosmic or connected to the higher realms at all. The reason is simply that
even though the monad represents God split, re-split, and split again, it retains the full power and potential consciousness of God. Until this earth ascends, you cannot enter into this reality in your full power and glory without your body going mad and/or burning up. As a result, you must keep part of yourself hidden away until
both you and this world are ready for the higher consciousness. We call the part of you that you keep away
from physicality your higher self. If you want a sense of how powerful you really are, try connecting to that.
That is your true monad. Your ego consciousness is just a pale and watered down reflection of that...

The Book of Life, 2004, Michel Sharp

When we look at you, we see you as vast, multidimensional beings. There's just a little bit of you in this body, thinking that you are all of it. Some of you are getting an inkling that's not so. We see you at all dimensions,
in the vastness of who you are...

You are here with a job to do. You are here to assist in the transition of planet Earth into Light.
You've done it countless times before and you are an expert in your field...

Every time a planet goes to Light, it is a unique expression of returning home from the experience of separation. The process differs, depending on the particular planet and species that's going to Light. This model is for the human species on planet Earth.

There are… other planets also going to Light simultaneously, and most of you are incarnate on most of them. This planet is special, however, because it has experienced the maximum separation from the Source and now it is returning. It will be successful. There is absolutely no doubt that this planet's return to the Source will be successful, and there will be no apocalypse in this parallel reality. There was a time when we were not so
sure that this planet would be able to go home, but now we are celebrating the certainty of a safe return.

Now, a species can ascend or go to Light without the planet ascending. You are not the first species to ascend from this planet—there have been four other races before you. What makes this particular process so exquisitely wonderful is that planet Earth is ascending also. She is a conscious, living entity who agreed to support this game of separation on the condition that she would ascend at its conclusion.

We'd like to mention the exquisiteness of this game as it returns to the Source. The beauty of your Divine Expression as you return is so wondrous for us to watch. Even though you stepped away from the Source for what is to us only a brief time, your reunification is one of the most exquisite energies in the universe. We look forward to you consciously experiencing this for yourselves. Because we exist in simultaneity, we have already seen you enjoy your re-unification, and we look forward to sharing your joy when you catch up with yourselves...

We'd like to thank you for being present on the planet at this time. You came here knowing that you would
have to go to sleep
. You'd have to deny everything that you are, forget everything that you know, and be unrecognizable to yourselves and each other.

We have the easy job—we never step away from the Source or experience separation
from Spirit. So, we honor you for what you are doing and feel honored to work with you.

What Is Lightbody?, 1995, Tashira Tachi-ren

Consciousness as you know it is highly specialized. The physical senses allow you to perceive the 3-dimensional world, and yet by their very nature they can inhibit the perception of other equally valid dimensions. Most of
you identify with your daily physically oriented self. You would not think of identifying with one portion of your body and ignoring all other parts, and yet you are doing the same thing (smile) when you imagine that the egotistical self carries the burden of your identity...

The self that you know is but one fragment of your entire identity. These fragment selves are not strung together, however, like beads of a string. They are more like the various skins of an onion, or segments of an orange, all connected through the one vitality and growing out into various realities while springing from the same source.

I am not comparing personality to an orange or an onion, but I want to emphasize that as these things grow from within outward, so does each fragment of the entire self. You observe the outside aspect of objects. Your physical senses permit you to perceive the exterior forms to which you then react, but your physical senses to some extent
force you to perceive reality in this manner, and the inside vitality within matter and form is not so apparent...

There are no limitations to the self. There are no limitations to its potentials. You can adopt artificial limitations through your own ignorance, however. You can identify, for example, with your outer ego alone,
and cut yourself off from abilities that are a part of you. You can deny, but you cannot change, the facts.
The personality IS multidimensional, even though many people hide their heads, figuratively speaking,
in the sand of three-dimensional existence and pretend there is nothing more...

I do not mean to underestimate the outer ego. You have simply overestimated it.
Nor has its true nature been recognized.

We will have more to say concerning this point, but for now it is enough to realize
that your sense of identity and continuity is not dependent upon the ego...

Seth Speaks, 1972, Jane Roberts

Your senses absorb but a fraction of the vibrational information swirling about you; many animals perceive more than you do. What little energetic information passes through the senses is further filtered and sculpted by the
ego and psyche. What finally emerges, after passing through sensory and psychic filters, is a fractionated, self-generated hallucination. This you call reality.

Remember that you live in a camouflage physical system. The basis of such a system is a radically private inner life ensured by the blocking of transpersonal thought transmission. You live, then, in a private cocoon of individualized psychology, experience, and meaning. However much you love others, you can never fully know them, burrow down into their psyches and explore every nook and cranny of their being. You are existentially alone.

Further, you don't so much perceive the outside world as project it from within. With the ego's limited range
of perceptual focus, the world’s richness and variety must be whittled down to a few slender strands of engagement. You can’t take it all in, and you can’t interact with it all. You engage with those aspects of
your world which resonate with you—and ignore the rest. You create your own reality, incoming and
outgoing, personal and collective.

Spirit Wisdom II, 2009, Ramón Stevens

The idea that we live in a multidimensional universe populated by beings or life-forms that are less densely embodied than we are, or perhaps not embodied at all, is not new to Eastern religious traditions or to most
of the indigenous peoples of the world.

But it is not a cosmos that is familiar or accepted as existing by the scientific culture of Western society, which has, perhaps once necessarily, constructed a universe in which the material or psychological, the seen and
unseen realms, have been kept largely separate so that the physical world might be understood and mastered in
its own right... The difficulty is that this almost exclusive concentration on the material world, whose extreme
manifestation is unbridled consumerism, has resulted in the virtual atrophy of the capacity to perceive or ex-perience the exquisite and awesome beauty, magnificence, and transcendent power of these other dimensions.

I think that this is what is meant by the loss of a sense of the sacred, of a connection with the spaces or
places of higher value, a separation from the Divine.

Passport To The Cosmos, 1999, John E. Mack, M.D

Grandfather said, "Man is like an island, a circle within circles. Man is separated from these outer circles by his mind, his beliefs, and the limitations put upon him by a life away from the Earth. The circle of man, the island of self, is the place of logic, the 'I', the ego, and the physical self. That is the island that man has chosen to live within today, and in doing so he has created a prison for himself. The walls of the island prison are thick, made
up of doubts, logic, and lack of belief. His isolation from his greater circles of self is suffocating and prevents him from seeing life clearly and purely. It is a world of ignorance where the flesh is the only reality, the only god."

Grandfather continued, "Beyond man's island of ego, his prison, lies the world of the spirit-that-moves-in-all-things, the force that is found in all things. It is a world that communicates to all entities of Creation and touches the Creator. It is a circle of life that houses all man's instinct, his deepest memory, his power to control his body and mind, and a bridge that helps man transcend flesh. It is a world that expands man's universe and helps him to fuse himself to the earth. Most of all, it is a world that brings man to his higher self and to spiritual rapture.

"Modem man cannot know these worlds, these circles, that exist beyond his own ego. The logical mind will never allow man to expand beyond the ego or the flesh, for that is where the logical mind feels safe. Modem thought is the prison of the soul and stands between man and his spiritual mind. The logical mind cannot know absolute faith, nor can it know pure thought, for logic feeds upon logic and does not accept things that cannot be known
and proved by flesh. Thus man has created a prison for himself and his spirit, because he lacks belief and purity
of thought. Faith needs no proof nor logic, yet man needs proof before he can have faith. Man then has
created a cycle which cannot be broken, for if proof is needed, there can be no faith."

Awakening Spirits, 1994, Tom Brown Jr.

Many people are so imprisoned in their minds that the beauty of nature does not really exist for them. They
might say, "What a pretty flower," but that's just a mechanical mental labeling. Because they are not still, not present, they don't truly see the flower, don't feel it's essence, it's holiness—just as they don't know themselves, don't feel their own essence, their own holiness.

Because we live in such a mind-dominated culture, most modern art, architecture, music, and literature are
devoid of beauty, of inner essence, with very few exceptions. The reason is that the people who create those things cannot—even for a moment—free themselves from their mind. So they are never in touch with that place within where true creativity and beauty arise. The mind left to itself creates monstrosities, and not only in the
art galleries. Look at our urban landscapes and industrial wastelands.

No civilization has ever produced so much ugliness.

The Power of NOW, 1999, Eckhart Tolle

A lonely ego, defining itself in mortality and isolation, lacks the scope and expansiveness of the spirit. When
it single-handedly attempts to operate a human mind, it is like a toddler wearing the oversized garments of an adult. It feels smothered beneath something made for another and larger being. It does not have the energy needed to use such an exquisite biological tool.

Without the spirit, the ego is capable of using only about 10 percent of the brain's capacity,
and even then its observations and conclusions are often inaccurate.

A mind that conceives of itself as fundamentally separate from all that it perceives is an instrument of division.
It can do nothing but divide, analyze, compartmentalize, and dissect. Everything on which it turns its attention
is reduced to disconnected segments, while the spirit, the life of the whole, is forgotten. With the fictitious premise that it is fundamentally distinct from both God and nature lying at the root of its thinking, it is not
capable of reason, for its premise is a lie.

This is why the historical egoic use of the human mind has been so destructive: it creates thoughts, images, personal identity structures, cultural institutions, and ultimately entire civilizations that are based upon the illusion that the individual is fundamentally distinct from the ground of being from which it and all creation have emerged.

Only the spirit has the necessary energy, intelligence, and operational software to use the full capacity of the human mind. When the awareness of spirit fills a human mind, it is an instrument of unity, an instrument of harmony, an instrument of cooperation, creation, understanding. It becomes a transformational vortex, a
channel through which universal awareness can flow into this physical world.

Starseed: The Third Millennium, 1991, Ken Carey

Your most intelligent scientists concur on the notion that even the "brightest" of humans use only 1/10 of their mental capacities. Inherent within this dim thought is the greatest news of all. With 90% of the receiver/ transmitter (mind) yet to be awakened there is an unlimited thought with which to begin to paint your Divine Canvas. You may also see from this simple reasoning how the intellect, dim though it may be, can instantly transcend itself, opening vast new horizons of co-creation with higher beings of Light, who work only
through the ONE CREATOR. Then, you can re-create your life, your earth.

As it stands, you are dominated by the intellect
because you I-dentify with its descriptions of your world...

The Genius Frequency, 2000, John J. Falone

The ego identifies itself through our experiences and never truly desires to let go of them, even if they are negative. Because self-identification is crucial to the ego's survival, that self-identification always perceives us
to be flat, one-dimensional beings caught in time and space. We are not. We are not. The ego can be released from the bonds of fear. How? Through states of wonderment and ecstasy, it can expand itself into an expression
of divine energy. Then we can begin viewing the hologram of the multidimensional self. The expansion of the consciousness to embrace that multi-dimensional reality is what enlightenment is all about...

Your soul is here to perceive past the limitation of your five senses, past the limitation of the immediate world around you. Something else is impinging on you. Something else is pushing you. You are all multidimensional beings. You are brilliant light-souls who have a frame of reference for being out of body, for being in light body, for knowing all things. In fact, you have the capacity within your very being to heal yourselves, to heal each other,
to perform miracles...

The finite mind, within its linear modality, utilizes only about 10 percent of the brain's capacity. The other 90 percent lies dormant, waiting for us to discover it. We do have a vehicle capable of that octave of exploration.
I call it the "higher mind."

The higher mind thinks holographically. It utilizes all the avenues of perception and realizes all the possible echoes and ramifications. We can teach ourselves to recognize and access the higher mind. It pulsates at a different speed, allowing us to filter through two or three or ten dimensions at once with recognition and understanding.

It allows the left and right hemispheres of the brain to synchronize. When these hemispheres begin to pulsate in unison, there is a change in the actual physiology of the brain waves that facilitates a heightened awareness.
Most importantly, the higher mind accesses multidimensional increments of knowledge and realities so that we
can utilize these realities as tools in this dimension. This is the genius octave of consciousness, and it
belongs to us all...

The really hard thing to break through is the ego... The ego is that which keeps us in the third dimension; it allows us to function there, but it's like one sliver of the hologram, and that's the difficulty of it. It blocks, it
veils our conscious access to all those other bodies we've had, to all those other thought forms we've been attached to, and it constricts us...

As soon as we begin to access the higher mind, the ego will go through levels of expansion. When we experience for a brief moment that we are the same as a tree, or that we are floating in water and we are the water, the
ego begins to go through decrystallization. It begins to become a new entity which has not yet rooted itself
in this planet...

We are breaking through the barrier; we are breaking through the constriction of the finite mind and being able to palpate this progression, this pulsation of life/death, life/death, so that we can break that patterning. When we experience ourselves multidimensionally...we begin to have the opportunity to make those kinds of changes that allow us to merge on a soul level in our divine selves. That is, where no good or evil or judgment is to be gotten, we can come into these lifetimes at this time on this planet as masters. As all the prophecies have stated from the beginning of time, and are still saying, this pivotal time is when we awaken or we die. Want to check that out?Pick up a newspaper. Look at what is happening in this world... Everything that we perceive outside ourselves is a mirror for what is happening inside ourselves.

The way we can create change in this world—on this globe, in this family, in this relationship, in this job—is right here. We've got nothing else besides a myriad of coverings that are useless to us. Inside us, we have the most profound wealth, the most profound wisdom that can guide us in any decision, in any experience, into the light, into who we are. We are not negativity; we are not imperfection; we are not hopelessness. We are not victims. But we don't experience that, we don't experience our power. So we have to find a way to break the barrier so that we can come into contact with that power, admit we have it, recognize it, and allow
ourselves to step forward. It is time to become who we are now.

Ecstasy Is A New Frequency, 1987, Chris Griscom

In a healthy state, you are functioning in two realities at once. Half of the time you are focused on your form identity, and the other half on your identity with the Totality of What Is. In the fallen state of consciousness, you find yourself trapped with your awareness on one side only, while the actual substance of your being continues to function on both sides. This is what unconsciousness is all about. You still exist in that other reality, but you are asleep. In the reality you now think to be the only realty, you are fragmented; the human race seems to be composed of a multitude of beings. In the other reality, there is only you.

We are here to wake you up. There is really only one of you who needs to hear this message.

It is important that you return to a consciousness of your true self. For though you still exist in both realities, unconsciousness of your identity with the Creator is cutting off the flow of Life-giving information to the part of you that exists in form. Your essence in identity with God is the reality from which all life springs. Focusing your attention exclusively on form greatly restricts, and eventually curtails, the flow of Life currents...

In the pre-Fall state of awareness, you existed in the nagual, the all, the everything, the nothing, the primal
void where all exists in a state of potential. This is the Creator that surrounds Creation like a sea surrounds a fish. Out of this nagual, you are called many times to dwell, for the space of a relationship, in its opposite, the "tonal." The tonal is everything that can be named. It is the imaginary world of God in which all apparent differences exist. It is the playground of What Is. The tonal draws all of its sustenance from the nagual. It cannot exist
 apart form the nagual...

Before the Fall, you had the ability to shift the center of your awareness from deity to identity, from form to meta-form at will. You were free, as it were, to come and go as you pleased, free to emphasize whatever aspect of yourself suited the situation... By forfeiting your ability to oscillate in consciousness between the two realities in which you dwell, you are restricted to an awareness of just the tonal, just the material, conceptual world. You still receive your nourishment from the light of the nagual, but no longer directly, only indirectly through animals, plants, and minerals. You are unconscious of being and conscious only of form...

You are now, in effect, sleeping under the influence of what could almost be seen as a spell, an illusion that prevents you from experiencing the clarity of perception that is your natural birthright. Our mission to this planet is to awaken you from sleep by whatever means necessary...

The Starseed Transmissions, 1982, Ken Carey

Don Juan said that the core of our being was the act of perceiving, and that the magic of our being was the act of awareness. For him perception and awareness were a single, functional, inextricable unit, a unit which had two domains. The first one was the "attention of the tonal"; that is to say, the capacity of average people to perceive and place their awareness on the ordinary world of everyday life. Don Juan also called this form of attention our "first ring of power," and described it as our awesome but taken-for-granted ability to impart order to our perception of our daily world.

The second domain was the "attention of the nagual"; that is to say, the capacity of sorcerers to place their awareness on the non-ordinary world. He called this domain of attention the "second ring of power," or the altogether portentous ability that all of us have, but only sorcerers use, to impart order to the non-ordinary world...

Perhaps all of us are continually perceiving in both fashions but choose to isolate one for recollection and discard the other, or perhaps we file it away, as I myself had I done. In conditions of stress or acquiescence, the censored memory surfaces and we can then have two distinct memories of one event.

What don Juan had struggled to vanquish, or rather suppress in me, was not my reason as the capacity for rational thought, but my "attention of the tonal," or my awareness of the world of common sense. His motive for wanting me to do so was explained by la Gorda when she said that the daily world exists because we know how to hold its images; consequently, if one drops the attention needed to maintain those images, the world collapses...

Don Juan had said that our "first ring of power" is engaged very early in our lives and that we live under the impression that that is all there is to us.

Our "second ring of power," the "attention of the nagual," remains hidden for the immense majority of us,  and only at the moment of our death is it revealed to us. There is a pathway to reach it, however, which is available to everyone of us, but which only sorcerers take, and that pathway is through "dreaming." "Dreaming" was in essence the transformation of ordinary dreams into affairs involving volition.  Dreamers, by engaging their "attention of the nagual" and focusing it on the items and events of their ordinary dreams, change those dreams into "dreaming."

The Second Ring of Power, 1977, Carlos Casteneda

J. used to tell me when we were alone that the world was just an insignificant dream, but most people weren't ready to accept such an idea because their contrary experience was so strong. He then stressed that knowing
the world is an illusion is not enough.

The Gnostics and some early Christians called the world a dream; the Hindus call it maya and the Buddhists call it anicca, all meaning pretty much the same thing. But if you don't know the purpose of the dream and how to reinterpret the images you are seeing, which is something we'll get into later, then the general teaching that
the world is an illusion is of very limited value...

That's how the ego set you up. Everything you experience testifies to the reality of the illusion, and then you judge it and make it real to yourself—keeping the whole system intact... You have to learn how to turn the tables on the ego... We want to make sure you understand up front that you will never be able to find your way out and experience your own innocence and Divinity until you learn how to forgive everything you see around you.
Until then, real escape is impossible.

You think people who want to escape the world are weak; actually, they have the right idea.
They just don't know how to do it right...

The Disappearance of the Universe, 2003, Gary R. Renard

The end of the world is realized in samadhi, or divine ecstasy. There are two kinds of samadhi. When at first you try to sit and meditate, your mind runs away in all directions. You think it is impossible to go deep. But if you sit still and persist long enough, you will begin to feel that wonderful silence of God. When your mind is withdrawn, centered in Him, the world is forgotten and you find in that silence a happiness greater than any worldly pleasure. That state, when you are totally absorbed in inner awareness of God, no longer conscious of the world, is called sabikalpa samadhi. It is "partial dissolution of the world" because, when you return to ordinary consciousness, the delusions of the world will again somewhat affect you, unless you are highly evolved and free of all desires and attachments.

The second and highest state of samadhi is when you are in the world but not of it—carrying on your duties,
but every moment conscious of God. That is nirbikalpa samadhi. It is the end of all limiting desires and attachments. Delusion is vanquished, and that is the true end of the world...

A World In Transition, 1999, Paramhansa Yogananda

The great majority of people on the planet see only the world of illusion because they are living out of the
slower vibrations and negative energies of the lower soul—the ego. What is illusion? Consider illness, suffering, lack, limitation, poverty, hunger, unemployment, conflict, crime, war, accidents, death...

How do we move from illusion to Reality? By awakening to our True Nature… By becoming of one accord with
the Higher Self and letting that Self appear as every needed thing or experience in our lives. As you realize your oneness with the Spirit of God within, your "personal world" will change dramatically... your pocket of materiality on Earth will take on a new vibration, one that reflects the Higher Vision. You will have co-created a new
Garden, and the Light from your Garden will be a harmonizing influence for the rest of the world.

The Planetary Commission, 1984, John Randolph Price

The fears stirred up by discussions of planetary change and fundamental shifts in time and space are rooted in our physical bodies' ego-based survivalist programming. Some anthropologists say the ego evolved primarily out of
our need to survive in a hostile environment, and it still operates largely in this mode. The ego actually wants you to think you are your body, and that the preservation of that body should be your primary concern... To best navigate the changes without, we must turn to their source within, which is our own minds. Not, however,
the limited linear verbal mind that is (almost) hopelessly entangled with the level of form, but the peaceful, silent, and powerful Big Mind that sits above and beyond any change, knowing we are safe, secure, and
infinite. Your best bet is to begin to cultivate this as your only identity, because it is!

Navigating the Collapse of Time, 2011, David Ian Cowan

Maya is an ancient Sanskrit term meaning illusion. Everything on the physical plane is maya;
the physical body, your personality each lifetime... even solid matter around you...

Maya is very much like watching a movie. The movie appears real but is actually a series
of single frame still pictures moving rapidly on a screen.

These still frames were recorded at an earlier date. The illusion is that there is action happening right now in front of you. You are made to believe that the heroine is actually being carried away by the giant gorilla. The physical plane is like the most real movie you have ever seen. You are mesmerized by it and believe that every minute of it is real.

Maya is essentially a lie. The Tao allows maya to exist within itself so that it can play the great game. When you play chess or checkers or Monopoly you must believe it is a real-life challenge in order to exercise your skills and have fun. So maya is like a veil that makes it easier for you to believe the game you are involved in. This hones your living skills and allows you to enter the drama of it all. Through it the Tao can challenge itself.

Therefore maya exists for a reason. Maya is not bad, but it certainly is something to eventually see through...

Earth To Tao, 1989, José Stevens, Ph.D.

You are not in this movie, unless you choose to perceive yourself to be.

You are, in fact, watching it. And the seemingly unrelenting circumstances that have you in their grasp are, in
fact, illusionary devices that you have created to instill certain levels of awareness and understanding. Each
blow to your pride, each disappointing outcome, is no more than an instrument of your own will, a symbolic
prop with which you, as the consummate playwright, sought to mirror yourself. With the help of these
powerful experiential symbols, you have scripted the opportunity to see yourself in action and to begin
to recognize the moves and the lines you know by heart—and to see beyond it.

Oneness: the Teachings, 2003, received & transcribed by Rasha

There is a Hindu myth about the Self or God of the universe who sees life as a form of play. But since the Self is what there is and all that there is and thus has no one separate to play with, he plays the cosmic game of hide-and-seek with himself. He takes on the roles and masks of individual people such as you and I and thus becomes involved in exciting and terrifying adventures, all the time forgetting who he really is.

Eventually, however, the Self awakens from his many dreams and fantasies and remembers his true identity, the one and eternal Self of the cosmos who is never born and never dies...

From this ancient Hindu view, we can see society as a kind of play or drama which is being acted out by the central Self of the universe. The Self hides in the roles and personalities of separate individuals until he once again awakens and remembers his true nature. It is precisely this goal of awakening that is the essence of Zen, the universal experience which unmasks the Self behind all the various parts of the great tragic comedy of life.

Zen is neither a religion nor a philosophy, but a way of liberation; a way of disentangling ourselves from the social level of masks and role-playing which we have mistaken for our true identity. For the purpose of Zen is the opening of a "third eye," the eye of insight or enlightenment that cuts through the crust of verbal knowledge
and reveals the underlying unity and inseparability of the individual and the universe...

Zen teaches, not by words, but by direct pointing, by engaging us in a game or contest with ourselves in which the only answer is a new level of consciousness. Zen is the game of insight, the game of discovering who we are underneath the masks and roles that we call our personality. Normally we assume that our personality is our true self and that the ego is free, independent, and totally different from everyone else. But the object of Zen is to see quite clearly that the personality which we think is our self is a masquerade or a "put-on," a role that is being played out by the universal Self which is the same in each individual...

It is a rather humiliating discovery to realize that all these years of effort and turmoil have been spent in a state of slumber, that from our earliest memories of childhood we have been half asleep and have been acting with only partial awareness. We have been hypnotized by the nature of words, thus becoming alienated from our own organism and from the larger organism of the universe itself...

The hypnosis created by our social conditioning has convinced us that we are some kind of separate agent who is inside the organism controlling it. It is this very illusion of the controller standing back from the organism and the thinker standing apart from the thought process that Zen seeks to dispel...

The ego-contradiction is the basic thorn which society has implanted since childhood and
from which we are suffering without being able to see the vicious circle involved.

We have been convinced that we are free and independent agents and yet, the very agent referred to is actually
a social role that is defined by other people and has no real freedom to act at all.

When beginning to understand the trap involved, the usual question is to ask what one should do to get out of it. And here is where Zen is rather ingenious. For we are told to "do" nothing to get out of it since the very "doing" will only be another level of the same contradiction that one is trying to see through. Instead of "doing,"or for that matter "not doing," we need a kind of passive awareness of ourselves in every situation. For only awareness, NOW, in the present moment can reveal the true source of action, which is not the ego at all but rather the total environmental field of which the organism is only one side of a mutual polarity.

Games Zen Masters Play, 1976, R.H. Blyth

Occasionally, spiritual rebirth can be associated with a very special form of experience—
the Atman-Brahman union described in ancient Hindu texts.

Here the person feels a deep connection with the innermost spiritual core of his or her being. The illusion of the individual self (jiva) fades away and the person enjoys reunion with his or her divine Self (Atman), which is also the Universal Self (Brahman), the cosmic source of all existence.

This is a direct and immediate contact with the Beyond, Within, with God, or with what the Upanishads
refer to as Tat tvam asi ("Thou art That").

This realization of the fundamental identity of the individual consciousness with the creative principle of the universe is one of the most profound experiences a human being can have. Spiritual rebirth...can re-open the gateway to oceanic ecstasy, and through it we experience cosmic unity...

In this state, the reality surrounding us has a numinous quality. As we feel united with everything that is, the appreciation for natural beauty and simple, uncomplicated life takes precedence over most other concerns.
The wisdom of teachers and systems of thought emphasizing these values—the philosophies of Jean Jacques Rousseau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Henry David Thoreau, or the teachings of Taoism and Zen Buddhism—
seem self-evident and indisputable.

Under the most ideal circumstances, the ego death and rebirth can have far-reaching and often lasting consequences. It frees us from the paranoid, defensive posture toward the world that we may have as the
result of certain aspects of our birth and painful experiences thereafter.

It is as if we have been stripped of the filters and distorting lenses that ordinarily limit
our perception of ourselves and the world...

The Holotropic Mind, 1993, Stanislov Grof, M.D.

Patanjali recognized that one of the most primary internal forces in a human being is the inclination toward selfhood. Self-making has the effect of organizing the shifting contents of consciousness into a seamless pseudo-reality that seems to unfold over time. This constructed reality consists of oneself as subject and everything else
as the object. From this vantage point, the world and the self feel like enduring entities, each different from
the other, with essential qualities that are carried forward through time.

The self is remarkably successful at maintaining this perspective—under ordinary conditions, we are simply incapable of seeing ourselves as other than a singular entity. At any given moment we live and operate from the conviction that we are the same person who was born some years ago and has had a continuous life right up to
the present. In fact, not just our own person but all objects seem to have an essential reality of their own. A clay pot is imbued with "potness" despite the fact that its identity as a pot is but a momentary way station between coming from the earth and returning to it.

However, when consciousness becomes truly motionless, these appearances of permanence and continuity break down. Just as turbulent water's opacity gives way to transparency when it calms, the illusory reality represented
in consciousness becomes transparent as body and mind grow deeply still.

Another perceptual change occurs during this process. One's sense of time becomes spacious, with consciousness sensing many more individual events than before and beginning to perceive its own workings in more detail.
What had seemed like a smooth flow—the reality of the phenomenal world—can now be seen as the flickering
of microphenomena arising and vanishing with unimaginable speed and subtlety. Under ordinary circumstances
they had blended together something like the individual frames in a motion picture, giving the illusion of solidity and continuity. As this illusion falls apart, the self and the world reveal themselves to be nothing but a stream
of rapidly changing events. Where earlier they had seemed solid enough to endure through time, now they can
be seen as piecemeal and temporary. In this light, the dramas of consciousness no longer seem real, nor do they propel one any longer toward thoughts or actions that will bring more suffering. One recognizes, at last, that
the unchanging awareness that knows this reality is the true center of human existence and that it is free of suffering...

The Yoga-Sutra of Patanjali, 2003, Chip Hartranft

Ego is a collection of thoughts that arise when memory brings past material into the moment. There is no continuous, single, ongoing ego. Yet, you all run your lives as if there were. The ego rises and falls and changes constantly, moment by moment. You think this ever-changing ego is in control of your life.

That is a joke! You continually recreate your identity of 'me' because you want something to think about,
to play with, to call the 'real you.' You do this rather than stay in the spontaneous moment...

On close examination, it can be seen that the ego is not a consistent, ongoing reality. It is something that memory re-creates imperfectly, over and over again. A memory is not even a replica of the original event. You recall something that happened yesterday, but it doesn't reflect the totality of the event at all. It is only a flat and imperfect recollection of some of those past images.

When you are in the deep silence of the moment, you do not feel this separate 'me.' Thinking stops, and there it is—that no-thinking awareness. The identification as 'me' drops, just for a moment, then thought rises up again. You play this same game over and over…

Whatever is present in the moment is there simply because you have chosen to bring it in to divert yourselves from what is really going on. When you realize this, the ego can no longer trick you into believing those chosen memories are who you really are.

You spend a lot of time thinking about past and future because you have been running away from the power of being in the present—not just now, but throughout your lives. You juggle many things at once, having fun or being miserable, but always being very busy. Occasionally your Deep Self slams you up against the wall, so you will stop and be quiet. One of my jobs is to shake you up a little and give you tools so you don't have to slam yourselves against that wall.  I am asking you to stop now. All you have to do is learn to be still inside in the midst
of all thought, all action, all emotion...

I will say it again. The most dynamic, alive, aware, mysterious power is moving through your life every moment. Its job is to be awake and aware in every aspect of your being. And it will do its job. Your little ego is very inconsequential when viewed from the position of all the incredible potential possibilities.  Do you understand?

You are the laboratories of consciousness, in which an experiment in a new kind of coming of the Light is taking place. It is difficult because there are very few footprints to follow for this particular kind of awakening. It is awakening in the midst of an active life. I have told you that you are the outriders, and you have to keep going.
Is it hard? Yes! Trust the process. Go back to the Buddha. He said you can awaken in seven lifetimes, seven
weeks, seven hours, seven minutes, or you can do it now! Believe me, he knew what he was talking about.

Journeys With A Brother, 1995, Mary-Margaret Moore

In true meditation, the mind becomes silent and reality as we know it comes to an end. Time no longer has any meaning. There is no longer a "me" and a "you." There is no longer an experience of life;  there is simply life
itself. In this state of silence, all aspects of life still exist, but there is no separation between the self and the experience. There is no comparison, no image-making, no word-forming or idea conception taking place.
There is no "me" looking at a tree and thinking "this is a tree and I am seeing it”. There is simply the ex-
perience of the tree, with no label, no model, and no thought.

In a state of true meditation, "models of reality" becomes a meaningless concept. There are no levels, no dimensions, no states of being. Things simply are as they are. Life becomes merely a drama; a dream. All the striving, seeking, acting and even growing become insignificant; a silly, absurd activity in a world of sleepwalkers.

At the same time, something vast and nameless comes into existence. Suddenly everything has supreme meaning and sacredness, although it is not anything the mind can grasp. A sense of boundless freedom takes over and consumes the self. Every moment becomes brand new and stretches forever in all directions. Without thought, there is no past or future and so there is no time. There is nowhere to go and nothing to do. Desire becomes irrelevant.

And yet, all the aspects of self become very real. The body still eats, the emotions still feel, the mind still functions, though somewhat on automatic. The natural world becomes a thing of wonder; each blade of grass is a thing of perfection; the wind becomes the breath of God. All of life continues as before, but the separate self, the ego, is no more. It is this state the masters were in when they said "all is illusion" and "the world is not real." And from this lofty perspective, it truly is all a dream.

Life On the Cutting Edge, 1994, Sal Rachele

Most shun meditation not because they truly have no time, but because they do not want to face
themselves—a definite result of the interiorization of meditation.

There is too much they do not like in themselves, so they would rather keep the mind busy on externals, never thinking too deeply about the self-improvements they need to make. Get away from such mental laziness. Mental sloth, Patanjali pointed out in his Yoga Sutras, is one of the major obstacles that hinder our spiritual progress. It makes us say, "Well, tomorrow I will think of You, God. Today I am just too busy with the worries You have given me." Millions through the ages have made the same weak, lame excuse. What a delusive thought it is!

"I want You, God, but tomorrow—as soon as I get my schedule under control—I will begin to think of You." That tomorrow will never come so long as you accept excuses. How many skulls have been strewn across the sands of time of individuals who had the intention to change themselves but not the discipline to do something about it now.

The tragedy of complacency is that most persons do not begin to do something about bettering their spiritual condition until their hearts are wrung with torment, sadness, frustration, suffering. Only then do they turn toward seeking the Divine. Why wait and go through such anguish? It is so simple to feel God now if we make but a little effort in meditation.

A World In Transition, 1999, Paramahansa Yogananda

The reason many find it uncomfortable to sit quietly is that they are used to dispersing their energies in useless activities to avoid confronting their life problems. Sitting not only restrains them from scattering their energies,
it also forces them to look inward and face themselves nakedly—face the problems they are trying to escape.
And because zazen exposes the problems, they resent it, and they resent the teacher, who they feel is
responsible for their being in that predicament. Thus sitting becomes one big "pain."

This point, however, is a crossroads, a time when one's determination is tested. Will you follow your old way of life—the easy, wasteful way—or will you embark upon the path of liberation? If you have truly realized that your life up to now has been leading you to a dead end, and your faith in the reality of your True-nature is strong, your determination to attain freedom will be equal to the task. And if you persevere in the struggle, fighting off all temptations to escape, you will come to a deep understanding and acquire a calmness and clarity charged with vitality.

Zen: Merging of East and West, 1989, Roshi Phillip Kapleau

You are all playing at being fragmented. This is part of your evolutionary game. It is not, however, who you
are. Do not confuse your physical self (as a fragmented being) with the greater sense of your Self.

Within you is a totally whole, integrated being who is sitting back watching a movie of your fragmented experiences. If you can find that Self within you, miracles will start to happen. But you have got to be
willing to look at the darkness...

Preparing For Contact, 1993, Lyssa Royal & Keith Priest

You think yourself to be a little person walking on a little planet. That is not so. Your heads are in the stars and your feet drop into deep blue space. That is how vast you are! You don't need to be rescued, you don't need to be saved. You are the rescuer and you are the saved. All you have to do is to wake up! And 'waking up' means taking everything behind you that you have tried to hide from and placing it in your vision. Sleepers hide from themselves. The warrior awakens and says, "I am ready. I want to know, so I can be harmless. I want to be harmless, because it is the only way to move in power on this planet."

When you are one with humanity and have not placed yourself above it, tears of compassion will flow and you won't be able to see anything but the One. There is only One. Your bodies have taken that one light and splintered it off into millions of lights. But the sun moving through a prism does not lose its original oneness. And that is what you are. When you are willing to face your unfinished business, your heart will break open, and you will see that all of you suffer from the same problem. You are afraid, because you have misidentified yourselves,
and think that you are a small entity, moving through a perilous world to an unknown end...

How could a being so vast as you, have fear of your smallness? It is not possible. You have just forgotten who
you really are. Wake up! Every morning and every moment of the day that you can, remember who you are. Remember the stars of your mind and the power of your feet. And every moment that you touch that vastness,
you will bring it that much more into your consciousness, and you will begin to feel it as surely as the limitations you now feel. But you have to remember, and that's all you have to remember. You cannot create those vast beings of consciousness, and you don't need to, because that is who you are. You have taken limitation as small
as it can go. In the remembrance comes the reawakening. It will happen!

Wake up, we need you...

I Come As A Brother, 1986, Mary-Margaret Moore

You want Me to talk about your trying to work your life out. Life does not work out! It cannot work out! That is
not the Way of the Heart! The Way of the Heart is about ego-transcendence, transcending the very thing that seeks to make it all work out! You are wanting Me to address you in this act that you are making to have everything be hunky-dory. And the whole damn thing doesn't even exist! And that's what there is to Realize! Absolute Freedom from this illusion—that you call "reality" and are trying to make work out perfectly. You re
only looking at yourself! That's all you are ever looking at! And you want it to work out, "Narcissus". You are looking at all this and you are calling it "the world"—but it is you!

All you ever talk about, think about, or perceive is you. It is a private, egoically "self-possessed" illusion. It is a result of your own knot of separateness, and it registers in this poor little slug of a body-mind you identify with
as all kinds of illusions, hallucinations, thoughts, presumptions, ideas, perceptions. The whole lot, the whole ball of wax, is all the result of your own separate position, your own point of view, self-contraction, manufacturing illusions on the base of That Which Is Reality Itself. But you have no idea what that Reality is. No notion.
You are not associated with Reality Itself, you are dissociated from Reality. That is the whole point!

Well, that being the case, that is what you have to deal with! But you want to persist in your adoration of the 'pond’—your experience, your search, and so forth—and you are asking Me how to make it work out. I do not
have anything to do with the "making-it-work-out" business. I am here to Wake you up!

The Promised God-Man Is Here, 1998, Carolyn Lee, Ph.D

Until we learn to transcend the ego, we continue to contribute to the insanity that we witness in the world...

The ego identifies you as primarily a physical body, separate from God, and in need of constant stroking to massage your self-importance...

The more you are able to see past the personality and the individual behavior, the more you will be a beacon of light for the entire planet. It is through a change in consciousness that our world is going to be transformed, and that new consciousness is one in which love is going to triumph over the passions of the ego...

Meditation is simply the act of being quiet with yourself and shutting down the constant monologue that fills the inner space of your being. It is stopping the constant bombardment of thoughts and the seemingly endless chatter filling your inner world. That inner noise is a shield preventing you from knowing the highest self...

When one drop of water separates from the ocean it becomes a speck that is, essentially, powerless and weak
and unable to sustain itself. But, when it aligns with its source, the ocean itself, it is powerful beyond what is possible as an individual drop of ocean. So it is with you. Alone, separated from your divine source, you are a
skin-encapsulated ego living the illusion that you are important and powerful. But, realigned, you know the joy that comes from this partnership. And what you are aligning with is pure, unconditional love and acceptance
of all that is. You abandon your fear of anything.

Manifest Your Destiny, 1997, Wayne Dyer

Q: If the ego is biologically rooted, genetically propagated, societally reinforced, and strongly reprogrammed,
how can it be overcome?

A: It can be transcended. More important is not the nature of the ego, but the problem of identification with it
as the 'me', the 'I', or 'myself'. The ego was inherited as an 'it', and actually is an impersonal 'it'. The problem
arises because one personalizes it and identifies with it. The 'it' of the ego structure is not unique or individual, and it is relatively similar, with karmic variations, in everyone. What really varies from individual to individual
is the degree to which one is enslaved by its programs...

When we see how people are dominated by the ego's programs, we realize that, without awareness or insight, they are relatively unable to help themselves. We say they are 'driven' by greed, hate, fear, addiction or pride... To be unconscious means just that; 'sin' can be seen really as a limitation in the evolution of consciousness.
This limitation was termed 'ignorance' by both the Buddha and Jesus Christ.

As evolution expresses itself in gradations, some people will be further along the road than others. When we
see this simple fact, forgiveness and compassion replace anger, fear, hatred, or condemnation. The willingness
to forgive others is reflected in our capacity for self-forgiveness and acceptance.

I: Reality and Subjectivity, 2003, David R. Hawkins, Ph.D.

The Masters accept that Buddha represents the Way to Enlightenment, but they clearly set forth that Christ IS Enlightenment, or a state of consciousness for which we are all seeking—the Christ light of every individual; therefore, the light of every child that is born into the world.

Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East, Volume 1, 1924, Baird T. Spalding

I would like to throw out a challenge. Some of you have lives so safe, so secure, so insulated, that you have forgotten what it is like to be a part of the human condition. But you are a part of the whole, a part of all that
is going on. So I would like you to try something. As you look at this globe and all of the things going on upon it, remind yourself that this is what it means to be a human. You might not be there in the thick of war or famine now, but you very well might be next time around. Any moment things can start to shift and move for you. Let
this exercise help you not to fool yourself as to how safe you are. You could, in a moment, lose something or someone you deeply cherish, or all that you have built up could crumble. Change is happening all around you.
Don't wait for painful events to create the desire for enlightenment. Remember you are a part of humanity,
and anything that could happen to one of you could happen to all of you. Use this possibility to increase your
desire to be free from suffering. Don't wait!

You are a part of the whole. You are not separate from any of the things you hear or read about. Whether you are manifesting them in this moment of this lifetime or not has nothing to do with anything. You are One. If you will look at and understand what this globe is going through, you will begin to feel a kind of nervous anticipation. It is the natural response of anyone who realizes there is only one planet and one human condition. If you begin to be alive to what is really going on in the human drama, you are going to want to become Self-Realized. The pain of mankind is there, so use it to pull you to God. In so doing, you will help the suffering of the world.

You have been told that it is a privilege to be given the opportunity to take a human birth. Why? Because it presents you with the opportunity to discover your Buddha-Nature or your Christ-Consciousness, and to help to eliminate suffering for yourself and others. So do not isolate yourself from that suffering. Be open and alive to it all. Buddha and Christ can help, but the responsibility is yours. Keep remembering that there is an answer to suffering and that it can be found right here, right now...

So, again, instead of insulating and isolating, I am asking you to do the very opposite, which is participate in the human fear, in the human condition. Allow yourself to have the humility to know that however your life might look right now, you are a part of that condition. You are no different from any of it. This is one planet, one people, one life, and to the extent you do not know that, you do not know a part of yourself.

If you really believe you are not capable of extreme negative action under terror, then you do not know yourself. Open. Don't be afraid to open and know who you are, and whatever you see in this world, that is who you could be, who you have been, and who you may be again. Isolation breeds a sense of superiority, and superiority
ends in stupor, in dreaming. Don't sleep.

Find out what is here, and in the seeing, you will realize the only way out of this dilemma is to know what is really happening behind all the pain, the war, the suffering and the starvation. Behind it all, something is happening. Find out what!

We end as we began. You are all participating in a dream, a dream full of pain, separation, and death. Remember: Adam fell into a deep sleep, and nowhere does it say he woke up. But awakening from that dream is humankind's destiny. And these words are presented to assist you in that awakening...

Reflections of An Elder Brother, 1989, Mary-Margaret Moore

The essence of truth, the God presence, exists throughout every dimension in innumerable changing forms through all space and time. The purpose of any spiritual path, whatever language or belief systems are used to describe it, is to facilitate a practical realization of this ultimate truth. This attainment, often referred to as enlightenment, Self-realization, or God-realization, results in a permanent and effortless awareness of our union with the
Divine in each moment, independent of ongoing situations, thoughts, and emotions.

To paraphrase the Buddha, the experience of a personal identity separate from God is the fundamental illusion
that creates all suffering, here on Earth or anywhere else it exists. The realization of our ultimate "oneness"
with God is both the source of human peace and our ticket to true liberation. The breakthrough to this
cosmic awareness is what transforms a student into a master...

Jewels On the Path, 1995, Eric Klein

Something I learned from A Course In Miracles...is the understanding that each one of us actually needs to mani- fest only one thing. If we manifest this one thing, all else will manifest as a byproduct. That one thing, of course, is unity consciousness with God. This involves healing the thought form that we are separate from God. The
truth is that we never have been or ever will be separate from God.

Separation doesn't exist on the spiritual plane, but it does exist on the mental, emotional and physical planes for most people. Our main spiritual work, then, is to anchor the spiritual reality of unity with God into the four-body system. It is not enough to know this intellectually. We must know it deeply at every level of our being. Healing the feelings of separation from God on this planet means fully embracing the Christ/Buddha consciousness...

Golden Keys to Ascension and Healing, 1998, Joshua David Stone, Ph.D.

We have been completely and utterly seduced by the experiment of polarity we ourselves chose to explore here on earth. We have begun to actually believe that we are separate. Separation consciousness can herald only war and destruction because it is the epitome of the illusion of survival. Without the awareness of the Higher Self,
the emotional body has no way of remembering oneness and so is sentenced to the boredom and limitation of survival. Surrounded by this drama, the emotional body cries out for company and so becomes the seducer,
the trickster, the beggar. As we look to each other for comfort, we see only the face of desire or the face
of rejection. This is much too narrow a scope for the pursuit of powerful manifestation. At least it
necessitates a change. Change is the bread of life. We, too, must change!

All of nature, heaven and earth, is bent on helping us realize that we are irrevocably bound together as the family of humanity and must elevate human consciousness to an octave in which our common destiny becomes a clear choice that we all embrace together. The multitudinous catastrophes that are increasing over the planet are nudging us to move together with one heart, one body, to choose to participate with the power that each of
our knowing souls brings forth into body.

Now we have the opportunity to close the gap and re-merge the energies that have taught us separation. We
must risk moving into groups again and applying our collective powers of manifestation to our mutual benefit.
As we cease the misuse of self, we will also be able to transmute group actions into loftier goals set by our souls. Change is imminent on this planet, and the catalyst for that change is consciousness... easily within our grasp because it is our very source...

One of our great lessons calls for us to emerge from the illusion that we are here on this planet as small and insignificant beings, always having to fight others for survival. By raising our consciousness, we will cultivate our multi-dimensionality so that the view of the self expands to include our infinite, divine connection. Nourished by this remembrance, the emotional body can heal itself without a fight. The healing takes place, not necessarily by dealing directly with the specific wounds, but by experiencing joy and the higher emotional octaves that allow us to let go and continue on. Since negative and positive repulse each other, by choosing forgiveness and freedom, the wounds are healed without returning to the scenes that induced them...

Having spent so much energy developing our personal ego, we are afraid to let go of our habits of self-identification. Yet we evolve by transmuting our existent forms into a new, greater consciousness filled by
 the pulse of the universe...

Let us be carried, penetrated, by the universal energy flushing away all fears and inner blocks and opening up
our view of the un-manifest through which we can see all aspects of ourselves. The conscious fusion with,
and in, the wonderful whole-ness of divine energy makes us happier, more inspired, richer, more secure
and supported, than remaining cut off from the divine energy by the limitations of the ego.

The Healing of Emotion, 1988, Chris Griscom

The short time remaining for you on Earth in the present cycle is a time that will be used to its maximal benefit, and you can fully expect that there will be many challenges. Yet, you should also remember that the challenges placed before you are carefully calibrated so as to not exceed the capacity you possess to solve them. Truly, it may be said that a great deal of the apparent randomness of your life is actually quite intentional, and remains as the next viable opportunity for you to have a major healing of the past. We define "healing" as that which removes any of the blockages from recognizing the existence of God within the self,
and then becoming that Self.

The struggle of the apparent separation from God is re-enacted within the self constantly; this is why we refer to it as the Original Wound. As is often stated, the Original Wound is the illusory perception of separation from God. If you feel that God has abandoned you, then it makes it very difficult for you to live in the world. There is a sense of loss, of abandonment, of violation, of anger, of victimization. Great loneliness comes up for you as
well, since you realize that God definitely exists yet seems notably absent. All it takes is one person, one
event, one moment, one situation to ready the self for a re-enactment of that original pain, and off you
go on another tirade of useless turmoil and self-inflicted vibrational damage.

Understand that these are typically subconscious processes, and bringing this struggle to the level of the conscious mind is a monumental accomplishment for any entity in third-density to attain. The reason why we give such emphasis to that point is that: It is this Original Wound that is the basis behind all suffering, and also is the
final key to complete enlightenment, or reunion with the Source Light and Love of Oneness.

The Reincarnation of Edgar Cayce?, 2004, David Wilcock

Your ego is here to look after your physical body, to make sure it gets enough to eat, to
make sure it does not walk over the edge of a cliff or damage itself unknowingly.

Your ego is the steward and potential master of all material plane fears, an important and necessary component
of your identity. However, your ego was never meant to provide you with your primary sense of self.

In a healthy state, the ego is a secondary component of identity. In a healthy state, the Being behind all being,
the Self behind every self, the Great Spirit behind all of creation is experienced as your primary sense of self. Your ego does not have to be repressed or transcended for this to happen. It does not have to die. It simply
has to assume an appropriate relationship with the spirit that in truth you are, the spirit that wants to
incarnate and take up residence in your body/mind/heart system.

Your ego is by nature a reflection. It can either be a good, sharp, clear reflection, or it can try to be an independent reflection. Yet logic shows there is no such thing as an "independent reflection." Your ego may
create such an illusion; but if you believe in it, you will be troubled and unfulfilled.

When your ego stops trying to do everything all by itself, and invites eternal spirit into your consciousness, your historical illusion evaporates like mist on a sunny morning. A polarity reversal takes place in the charge of your human envelope. The field of consciousness around you changes.

Instead of your ego dominating your sense of identity and blocking your awareness of the Great Spirit, an eternal sense of Self awakens within you. You know yourself as a projection of the Creator of all the stars in the sky.
You know yourself as one of a family of god-beings, sharing God's Being. You remember. Everything is seen differently. The world is perceived anew through the eyes of a universal awareness. Your ego becomes your working partner, and you commence the conscious creation of a new human reality...

Return of the Bird Tribes, 1991, Ken Carey

There was...one aspect of Avatar Adi Da's seminary studies that did prove interesting to Him—the summer that
He spent as a chaplain at a mental hospital in Philadelphia. Avatar Adi Da has humorously said that this
experience prepared Him quite well for His future Work of Teaching! He realized, as He entered into
relationship with hundreds of psychotic people, that their condition was simply a more exaggerated
version of the separative state that every un-Enlightened being suffers.

The Promised God-Man Is Here, 1998, Carolyn Lee, Ph.D

There is a view, still current, that there is some correlation between being sane and being unconscious, or at l
east not too conscious of the "unconscious," and that some forms of psychosis are the behavioral disruption
caused by being overwhelmed by the "unconscious."

What both Freud and Jung called "the unconscious" is simply what we, in our historically conditioned
estrangement, are unconscious of. It is not necessarily or essentially unconscious.

I am not merely spinning senseless paradoxes when I say that we, the sane ones, are out of
our minds. The mind is what the ego is unconscious of. We are unconscious of our minds.
Our minds are not unconscious. Our minds are conscious of us.

Ask yourself who and what it is that dreams our dreams. Our unconscious minds? The Dreamer who dreams our dreams knows far more of us than we know of it. It is only from a remarkable position of alienation that the source of life, the Fountain of Life, is experienced as the It. The mind of which we are unaware is aware of us.
It is we who are out of our minds. We need not be unaware of this inner world...

One enters the other world by breaking a shell: or through a door: through a partition: the curtains part or rise:
a veil is lifted. It is not the same as a dream. It is "real" in a different way from dream, imagination,
perception or fantasy. Seven veils: sever seals, seven heavens.

The "ego" is the instrument for living in this world. If "the ego" is broken up... then the person may be
 exposed to this other world...

Sanity today appears to rest very largely on a capacity to adapt to the external world– the interpersonal world, and the realm of human collectivities. As this external human world is almost completely and totally estranged from the inner, any personal direct awareness of the inner world already entails grave risks.

But since society, without knowing it, is starving for the inner, the demands on people to evoke its presence in a "safe" way, in a way that need not be taken seriously, is tremendous—while the ambivalence is equally intense...

The outer divorced from any illumination from the inner is in a state of darkness. We are in an age of darkness. The state of outer darkness is a state of sin—i.e., alienation or estrangement from the Inner Light. Certain
actions lead to greater estrangement; certain others help one not to be so far removed...

From the alienated starting point of our pseudo sanity, everything is equivocal. Our sanity is not "true" sanity.
Their madness is not "true" madness. The madness of our patients is an artifact of the destruction wreaked on
them by us, and by them on themselves. Let no one suppose that we meet any more "true" madness than that
we are truly sane. The madness that we encounter in "patients" is a gross travesty, a mockery, a grotesque caricature of what the natural healing of that estranged integration we call sanity might be. True sanity entails
in one way or another the dissolution of the normal ego, that false self competently adjusted to our alienated social reality: the emergence of the "inner" archetypal mediators of divine power, and through this death a rebirth, and the eventual reestablishment of a new kind of ego-functioning,
the ego now being the
servant of the Divine, no longer its betrayer...

Transcendental Experience in Relation to Religion and Psychosis, R.D. Laing

I once functioned as chaplain in a mental hospital. On at least two occasions I gave a sermon on the passage in the New Testament that describes the sin against the Holy Spirit as the only unforgivable sin. People who are insane are often obsessed with the idea that they have committed the one sin that cannot be forgiven. When I preached the first sermon on this matter, I presumed—but I did not have to presume—I noticed that everybody there was completely insane! I very quickly had to become responsible to serve people who had not one whit of attention left over from their mechanical, self-possessed, inward life, their turning away. They were devoted sinners!

They were not communing with God; they were not open-eyed, clear, conscious, full of attention. They were distracted in themselves. They were obsessively missing the mark, moment to moment. Their breath was irregular, their bodies were all out of harmony, they were self-possessed, dark, demonic egos. They were like any ordinary person, except that they were an exaggeration of the ordinary state...

The usual man functions, he talks to you, he often seems reasonable and intelligent. Even so, he is also mad, because he is utterly and fearfully involved with himself. He is creating the fake reality, the subjective world of self, exactly as were the mental patients to whom I preached. Like a mad man, the usual man or woman is completely involved with the repetitive ritual of obsessive interpretations and misinterpretations, and the
chronic contraction of his or her own body from the obvious and Radiant Reality of the Living Person,
the Divine and Transcendental Truth of Man.

The people in the mental hospital were simply a kind of cartoon version of humanity… They were the perfect example of "sinners." In that eternal and absolute moment of self-involvement they were eternally and absolutely "unforgiven." The teaching and the fate of Jesus made no difference to them. They were unforgiven because they would not be converted in their attention. They would not, in other words, cease to sin. They would not
turn from self to Life. They would not return their attention to the Absolute and All-Pervading Reality. They maintained their attention on and in themselves to the point of madness, the "black hole" of egoic implosion.
Most people have not reached that point. Most people are neurotic and deluded, but they are conventionally
sane. They function within the same ritual order that most other people acknowledge to be "reality." Still, everyone is a "sinner," exactly as every madman who came to watch me preach.

All of this is perhaps not quite so obvious to the Sunday morning preacher. When he confronts his dreadfully sane congregation, it may not seem obvious to him that everyone present is sinning at that very moment. It is not
really obvious to the preacher that he himself is also sinning via the ritual of all his thoughts and acts. He and his congregation have their Jesus, and this makes them orderly, but they have no awareness of the sinless life of ecstatic conversion to the Living Truth! Their attention is on themselves, they are full of concerns, and,
together, they believe in the ritual nonsense of ordinary religion, in order to alleviate the critical anxiety of ordinary fear. They are not awakened to true "faith," which is literal God-Communion—perhaps because they
have not yet experienced and recognized the stark reality of their own madness, their own sinfulness...

From the beginning of my life, I have been dealing with this literal matter of "sin." However, to the usual man
or woman, asleep with all the anchormen of the TV news, the reality and effect of "sin" is not obvious. To the usual man, "sin" is merely conventionally "illicit" behavior, such as stealing, or alcoholism, or sexual intercourse,
or even enjoyment itself! A false idea of "sin" only contributes to our fundamental insanity and "sinfulness."

"Sin" is not merely or even at all a form of behavior that may be socially inappropriate in a white Christian suburb of puritan America. "Sin" is an anti-spiritual gesture. It is the Life-negative gesture of self-possession. It is the contraction of body and psyche from the Life-Principle. It is self-attention and self-division. It is recoil from Ecstasy, toward the inward obsessiveness of the defined and separative self.

We are all struggling with this chronic gesture of reactive contraction, of psycho-physical recoil, of fear, of self-possession, of self-division, of turning attention away from the Life-Principle and toward all the idols of egoic experience. Such idolatry is the chronically negative substance of everyone's life, even of the highest of lives...

But the Truth is a matter of absolute self-transcendence. The Truth is not Realized by
the confinement of attention to any form of experience at all, but only by the release of
attention, and all gestures of attention, into the Living Divine Reality.

Scientific Proof of the Existence of God Will Soon Be Announced By the White House,
1980, Da Free John

Whatever you accept into your mind has reality for you. It is your acceptance of it that makes it real. If you enthrone the ego in your mind, your allowing it to enter makes it your reality. This is because the mind is capable of creating reality or making illusions...

The ego is the part of the mind that believes in division. How could part of God detach itself without believing it is attacking Him? We spoke before of the authority problem as based on the concept of usurping God's power. The ego believes that this is what you did because it believes that it is you. If you identify with the ego, you must perceive yourself as guilty. Whenever you respond to your ego you will experience guilt, and you will fear punishment. The ego is quite literally a fearful thought. However ridiculous the idea of attacking God may be to the sane mind, never forget that the ego is not sane. It represents a delusional system, and speaks for it. Listening to the ego's voice means that you believe it is possible to attack God, and that a part of Him has been torn away by you. Fear of retaliation from without follows, because the severity of the guilt is so acute that it must be projected...

The ego's use of projection must be fully understood before the inevitable association between projection and anger can be finally undone. The ego always tries to preserve conflict. It is very ingenious in devising ways that seem to diminish conflict, because it does not want you to find conflict so intolerable that you will insist on giving it up. The ego therefore tries to persuade you that it can free you of conflict, lest you give the ego up and free yourself. Using its own warped version of the laws of God, the ego utilizes the power of the mind only to defeat the mind's real purpose. It projects conflict from your mind to other minds, in an attempt to persuade you that you have gotten rid of the problem...

The ingeniousness of the ego to preserve itself is enormous, but it stems from the very power of the mind the ego denies. This means that the ego attacks what is preserving it, which must result in extreme anxiety. That is why the ego never recognizes what it is doing. It is perfectly logical but clearly insane. The ego draws upon the one source that is totally inimical to its existence for its existence. Fearful of perceiving the power of this source, it is forced to depreciate it. This threatens its own existence, a state which it finds intolerable...

The Oneness of the Creator and the creation is your wholeness, your sanity and your limitless power. This limitless power is God's gift to you, because it is what you are. If you dissociate your mind from it you are perceiving the most powerful force in the universe as if it were weak, because you do not believe you are part of it.

Perceived without your part in it, God's creation is seen as weak, and those who see themselves as weakened do attack. The attack must be blind, however, because there is nothing to attack. Therefore they make up images, perceive them as unworthy and attack them for their unworthiness. That is all the world of the ego is...

Do not be afraid of the ego. It depends on your mind, and as you made it by believing in it,
so you can dispel it by withdrawing belief from it. Do not project the responsibility for your belief in it onto anyone else, or you will preserve the belief. When you are willing to accept
sole responsibility for the ego's existence you will have laid aside all anger and all attack, because they come from an attempt to project responsibility for your own errors...

The ego can be completely forgotten at anytime, because it is a totally incredible belief,
and no one can keep a belief he has judged to be unbelievable. The more you learn about
the ego, the more you realize that it cannot be believed...

Would you look to the ego to help you escape from a sense of inadequacy it has produced, and must maintain for its existence? Can you escape from its evaluation of you by using its methods for keeping this picture intact? You cannot evaluate an insane belief system from within it. Its range precludes this. You can only go beyond it, look back from a point where sanity exists and see the contrast. Only by this contrast can insanity be judged as insane...

Would you be hostage to the ego or host to God?

A Course In Miracles

Here you are today, after countless lives on this planet, seeking the Holy Grail, still searching for the Paradise that was lost. And yet, it has always been with you. You have simply forgotten your identity. You were born initially of Spirit, and you will be born again when you realize Who and What you are. The more you are aware of this indwelling Spirit, the greater the inflow of spiritual energy and power into your mind and heart.

This Cosmic Consciousness has always been within you, but you have been asleep to it. Now you must awaken.
You must feel the warmth of Love in your heart. You must sense the imprisoned Splendor of your True Nature.
You must throw open the prison doors and release the Power. Let it be Itself. Let it be Yourself! This Life, Light, Power, Love has forever been within you. Even when you fell into the dream of mortality and lost your
awareness of the Presence, it did not leave you. No, you left your Self and began a journey into darkness.
But even then, the spark of Divine Truth remained in your deeper mind.

As you turn within and realize the Reality of yourself, that Self fully enters your consciousness and becomes the ruling pattern and principle of your life. But you must realize the Presence. This is the new birth. This is the knowing of Truth on every level of mind, and with every degree of knowingness, more Light is released.
The Light is the Christ Presence, the Spirit of Truth. The Divine Spark, hidden in the depths of your soul,
becomes the Living Flame of Truth...

You are here to rediscover Yourself. You have been living in an imaginary world. Your purpose
is to awaken to the Real World. Do this, and the mission of the Master within you can begin...

When you are spiritually illumined, everything in your life becomes an extension of perfection, even your home, your business, your income, your relationships. All become spirit in action, spirit in form, for all is Mind, invisible and visible. The survival of this planet depends on the recognition of this truth.

The Superbeings, 1981, John Randolph Price

The piece of you that separated from your own Divine essence, somewhere along the way, has been hashing out the vibrational manifestations of that self-perpetuating spiral, ever since. Now, it is time to shift that pattern.
For the calling of Divine intent has been heard throughout Creation. It is time to put down your swords and
your shields—and go home.

The image you hold of yourself as an autonomous being, separated from your fellowmen—and from a Divinity that you simultaneously worship and fear—will be revealed to you as the illusion that it truly is. You are not the focal point of awareness you believe yourself to be. You are simply a facet in a light-spectrum—a glimmer of a focal point—a split second flash of awareness in a vision that is infinite and eternal. You have deluded yourself into believing that you were the main event for so long that you have amassed a volume of incarnate history, of
epic proportions, to support that conclusion. And you reference a world around you that is calculated to
reinforce those perceptions.

Far from view, yet ever present, is a level of awareness that transcends, in its overview of your personal history, the details with which you define your identity. That level of awareness, conceived in balance, has transcended the need to play any of the roles, or to experience the levels of conflict and resolution upon which you continue to focus, as you work out the final details of your sojourn into humanness. It is that level of awareness that watches patiently as the first inkling of your true multidimensionality takes root. And that level of awareness, of which
you are a fundamental part, waits to include you in the loving embrace of all it understands itself to be.

Oneness: the Teachings, 2003, received & transcribed by Rasha

The negative ego did not come from God, it came from humanity's misuse of free choice. Man is the only creature who has the ability to think out of harmony with God. The fall, to which the Bible refers, occurred when humans, in the form of monads, or individualized sparks of God, chose to come into matter. It wasn't the coming into matter that caused the fall; it was the over-identification with matter. It was that moment when they
thought they were physical bodies rather than God-beings inhabiting or using physical bodies.

In thinking they were only physical bodies, there came the illusion of separation from God and separation from their brothers and sisters. Then came the perception of selfishness, fear, and death as "real." From these faulty premises a whole thought system developed that was based on glamour, illusion, and maya... The basic law of
the mind is that it is your thoughts that create your reality. Your feelings, your behavior, and what you attract
and magnetize into your life all come from your thoughts...

You have always been the Christ, the Buddha, the Atma, the Eternal Self, and you have always been one
with God. All of your negative egotistical thinking has not changed this one single bit.

A good metaphor for this is the dream. When you wake up from a night-mare you are relieved that it was just a dream. When you were dreaming, however, it seemed real. Well, I say now, in this holy instant, wake up!

Wake up from the negative hypnosis you have been living in, thinking you are unworthy, unlovable, inferior, separate from God, powerless. In this holy instant, wake up and realize that you are the Christ, the Buddha,
the Atma, the Eternal Self... You don't have to find God; you already are God and have been all along. It is
the insane voice of the ego, or separative mind, that keeps you lost in glamour, illusion and maya...

You can interpret life from the negative ego's viewpoint or from that of the Buddha or the Christ. It is important to understand that you don't see only with your eyes; you see with your mind, through your belief systems.

The major work of the spiritual path is to clear out all the negative egotistical beliefs from the conscious and subconscious minds, and to replace them with the spiritual pattern of the Christ and the Buddha...

It is time to wake up and snap out of this self-created hell of your own negative thinking.
It is time to take control of the subconscious mind and stop letting it push you around.
It is meant to be your servant, not your master.

Soul Psychology, 1994, Joshua David Stone, Ph.D.

My friends, again and again I ask you to take seriously the power of your magnificent, wonderful mind. You are afraid of your mind, of what it has created, because you believe you have created a separated world that
is no longer joined with God.

You believe the power of the mind is so great you can create a world God is not interested in, where this separation is all there is unto eternity. Despair comes when you see the horrors you have created, and you fear creating more of the same. But God only allows the free play of your awareness to create–- within certain limits. The Divine within you has placed limits past which you cannot go. You are afraid of being responsible for what your mind creates, so you try not to pay attention to your thoughts. By not paying attention, you go on creating right out of the shadow part of your unconscious. When you really understand this, you can choose to stay in the moment and remember what it is you really wish to create. This gives you the power of conscious choice.
Then you create as you choose to create...

You are asleep. You do not know who you are because you are asleep, but you can awaken. You can awaken
today, because in the realm of the Divine there is no such thing as time-space. Things are merely out of focus, and with a slight readjustment of the lens, miraculously, in one moment, it all comes into focus.
Everything is seen clearly. You will awaken from the dream, either now or later. Why not now?...

You are pure, conscious awareness. Any other definition of you is false. Start paying attention and you will find that which separates you from the Light is your judgment against yourself, other humans, and the world. Your judgments keep you from knowing, feeling, experiencing, and exploding into Light, and that is the only thing that separates you. You are not seeing what is real. At any moment, there is the beautiful potential possibility of bursting into full conscious knowledge of who you are.

You can remember what you are looking at is not as it seems. You can remember it is a lie created by the sepa-rated senses and you don't have to believe it… Either you have the awareness of pure consciousness or you have the awareness of ego-based confusion. There are no other choices, my friends. There are no other choices...

Your consciousness is placed somewhere by you each moment, so every moment you have a choice to make.
You either remember you are seeing camouflage and move behind it, or you become trapped by your dualistic vision. You say this is hard to do—but compared to what? Start paying attention to your thoughts and you will realize they cause much more difficulty, are much more debilitating, and much more aligned with energy loss, than the focused awareness of dropping to a place of stillness within you. When you begin to go deeply within, literally hundreds of times a day, that wonderful sphere of pure consciousness, which is you, becomes the focus
of your energy. You feed something every time you think, so you must decide what it will be. Do you want to
feed your separation, your alienation? It will increase. Do you want to feed your Wholeness? It, too, will
increase. You are the way to Truth and Light. You are the way! Gather up your awareness and place it
where you wish it to be and it will stay there, fixed, until you move it again.

It's really up to you.

Reflections of An Elder Brother, 1989, Mary-Margaret Moore

There are many of us, personalities like myself, unfocused in physical matter or time. Our existence seems
strange to you only because you do not realize the true potentials of personality, and you are hypnotized by
your own limited concepts...

I am primarily a teacher, but I have not been a man of letters per se. l am primarily a personality with a message: you create the world that you know. You have been given perhaps the most awesome gift of all: the ability to project your thoughts outward into physical form. The gift brings a responsibility, and many of you are tempted to congratulate yourselves on the successes of your lives, and blame God, fate, and society for your failures. In like manner, mankind has a tendency to project his own guilt and his own errors upon a father-god image, who it seems must grow weary of so many complaints.

The fact is that each of you create your own physical reality; and en masse, you create both the glories and the terrors that exist within your earthly experience. Until you realize that you are the creators, you will refuse to accept this responsibility.

Nor can you blame a devil for the world's misfortunes. You have grown sophisticated enough to realize that the Devil is a projection of your own psyche, but you have not grown wise enough to learn how to use your creativity constructively.

Most of my readers are familiar with the term, "muscle bound." As a race you have grown "ego bound" instead, held in a spiritual rigidity, with the intuitive portions of the self either denied or distorted beyond any recognition...

Seth Speaks, 1972, Jane Roberts

Only one thing seems to stand out with some certainty. This normal, solid world around us is just a facade, and, while we believe that it is the world, the only world, we are deceived. This assumption that we are in a perfectly ordinary, logical world, and that we know most of the rules, traps us in a kind of permanent tunnel vision. Gurdjieff even used the alarming simile of hypnotized sheep, who are kept in a state of trance by a magician who wants to save money on fencing, and so assures the sheep that they have nothing to be afraid of,
and that nothing bad is going to happen to them. I am inclined to think his pessimism unjustified. But there
can be no doubt whatever that this “illusion of normality”causes us to waste our lives and fail to grasp our potentialities. If, instead of this vast facade of triviality that surrounds us, we could become aware of the
complex realm that lies on the other side of it, we might stop wasting our lives.

Alien Dawn, 1998, Colin Wilson

There is far more to this world than taught in our schools, shown in the media, or proclaimed by the church and state. Most of mankind lives in a hypnotic trance, taking to be reality what is instead a twisted simulacrum of reality, a collective dream in which values are inverted, lies are taken as truth, and tyranny is accepted as security. They enjoy their ignorance and cling tightly to the misery that gives them identity.

Fortunately, some are born with spiritual immune systems that sooner or later give rejection to the illusory worldview grafted upon them from birth through social conditioning. They begin sensing that something is
amiss, and start looking for answers. Inner knowledge and anomalous outer experiences show them a side of
reality others are oblivious to, and so begins their journey of awakening. Each step of the journey is made by following the heart instead of following the crowd and by choosing knowledge over ignorance.

Knowledge is the key to unlocking our potential. It gives us the self-determination, responsibility, and power necessary to cast off the chains of covert oppression. Knowledge is therefore the greatest protector, for it also gives us foresight to impeccably handle the challenges of life and, most importantly, to sidestep the traps on the path to awakening. The more you know of higher truths and apply what you know, the more you begin
operating under higher laws that transcend the limitations of the lower.

Montalk.net

Let me say that the only hypnotism is the self-hypnotism of believing that each and everyone can not do the perfect works of God, and create the desired condition or thing. For is not the need itself the desire to create? Instead of unfolding and creating as God wills us to create, you fold up in your little shells and say, “I can't,” and you hypnotize yourselves into actually believing that you are separate entities apart from God. You simply fall short of your perfect creation or expression. You do not let God express perfectly through you as it is His desire
to do. Did not Jesus the Great Master say, “The works that I do, ye shall do also, and greater works than these
shall ye do”? Was it not Jesus' true mission here on earth to show that we, as Sons of God, or man in his true estate, can create as perfectly and as harmoniously as God does? When Jesus commanded the blind man to bathe his eyes in the pool of Siloam, was not this intended to open the eyes of all? All were to see that Jesus was sent
by the Father  to show us that the Father intended us to create exactly as He creates; all are to do the perfect work as Jesus did by recognizing the Christ in himself and in all.

Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East, Volume 2, 1924, Baird T. Spalding

It is only when we wake from dreams that we know we have been dreaming. Similarly,
this life may be realized as a dream only when we awake in Cosmic Consciousness...

Unless a balance is created by developing spiritual realization along with advancement of the physical sciences, individuals and nations will be lost in misery and destruction. If today's world leaders were illumined by Self-realization, and worked together, they could within a few years banish war and poverty from the earth.
Only spiritual consciousness—realization of God's presence in oneself and in every other living being—can
save the world.
I see no chance for peace without it. Begin with yourself. There is no time to waste.

It is your duty to do your part to bring God's kingdom on earth.

Man's Eternal Quest, 1975, Paramahansa Yogananda

We urge you to become vitally alert to the times in which you live. An opportunity to play a significant role in humanity's finest hour is yours for the taking. Although not everyone is ready to tackle the demands of life purpose tasks, many, a very great many, are equal to them.

The rather narrow perspective from which you view reality is reminiscent of ants observing the sky from the depths of a hole. For the most part, you resemble amoebae swimming aimlessly on a microscopic slide, totally unaware of who or where you are and completely oblivious that you are being scrutinized. But in spite of your third-dimensional perceptual difficulties, many of you have determined that reality has a much broader definition than heretofore realized. Your growing intense spirituality has brought you to a point when you desire to rediscover your lost Self.  Still, many unanswered questions continue to haunt you…

Eagles of the New Dawn, 1997, Patricia Pereira

I have never read a book that excited such a powerful series of reactions in me. Again and again, I found myself thinking: "If this is true, then we are all asleep. Something tremendous is going on, something that is going to affect every human being on this planet sooner or later, and we still go on living as if we were in the
comfortable security of the Victorian age."

The question that keeps returning to me is: Why, if all this is true—or only half true—can so many people ignore it?

When I try to look at the whole phenomenon, I come back to my most basic intuition… that
there is something oddly wrong with human consciousness.

Although we have evolved further than any other animal on the face of the earth, it is at the cost of an absurd narrowness which means that we look at reality through the long end of a telescope, failing to see the wood or even leaves because we can only focus on individual trees... We see the world from a worm's eye view, when
we urgently need a bird's eye view...

Our greatest need at this point in our evolution is to change our intellectual viewpoint—to recognize that we are not alone in the universe and that we ought to be making far more vigorous use of the intelligence we possess. Our narrowness hypnotizes us into passivity...

It seems to me that what is now being forced upon us, whether we like it or not, is a more universalist point of view. I do not know whether the "aliens" are trying to tell us this, or whether it is something altogether bigger. But we are certainly being told that we have to wake up. The UFO phenomenon—or many-related phenomena—
are gradually forcing us to accept that there are "other realities and dimensions," and that we cannot continue living like cows ruminating in a field...

Colin Wilson in the introduction to Linda Moulton Howe's book Glimpses of Other Realities

The establishment wants you to ignore the messages laid into the crops, denying that their complex and meaning-ful geometric configurations are actual representations of intelligent life, of other realms and refusing you your place in the cosmic scheme of things. This is why you would be wise to experience the crop circles first hand—
for your own edification—for if we are imprinting Sirian symbols into your third-dimensional fields of vision, it
is to communicate with you—to stimulate you into response. We are bringing you the proof, a tangible message, something that you can believe is real. Ours is a desire to shake the population out of its narcotic trance—its sedation—to help the unaware become conscious of all that surrounds them. However, you will have to first
open your eyes to what is visible in your reality, before you will be able to see what is hovering around you
in the ethers.

It is quite revealing to those outside of your experience that the indisputable clarity of the glyphs, their extradimensional origins, has impacted only a very limited group of individuals. This is a reflection of just how blind the masses are in their perception of what surrounds them. Anaesthetized, they stare into holographic machines filling their bodies with the drug of indifference, and from their armchairs of inertia and addiction, condemn you for your brilliance and perception—your daring to question authority or doubt convention. Soon
they will be faced with the change, they will not have developed consciousness to integrate the higher energies and shifting time. Many will opt to leave, to reincarnate in other worlds where they can continue their evolutionary process at a much slower pace…and that is as it should be. Those of you who remain, however,
must be roused from your sleep so that you can unite your efforts to bring Gaia back to balance before
the final end of her transition.

The Cosmos of Soul, 2000, Patricia Cori

(John) Mack went on to become the foremost villain of the skeptics and the saint of the believers. Through him flowed the multiple crises of modernity and secularity. Is this all there is? Is what we are being told about the nature of the world true? Or have we lost some deep, ancient wisdom that now only surfaces as aberrant and
ridiculed phenomena such as alien abduction?

"Other cultures have always known that there were other realities," he told the Seattle conference, "other beings, other dimensions. There is a world of other dimensions, of other realities that can cross over into our world..."

He was obsessed with the idea that the contemporary scientific account of the world
was simply wrong.
Alien abduction came as yet further evidence.

Why, he wondered, do we not believe the tales of abductees? In other cultures—and in our own in the past—people routinely accepted encounters with spirits. The default human belief condition is that there is another world in close proximity to ours and the two routinely interact. We are the weirdos in denying what everybody else takes to be a self-evident truth...

It is clear what it implies: that modern man wears blinkers, he has been denied—or he denies himself—access
to the true nature of the world. The scientific imagination has concealed from us the teeming reality of the
third realm...

Whether these things are "true" or "real" is, in fact, a trivial matter. The important issue is the fact that they are seen, felt, endured, suffered and celebrated by millions. This points to deep truths about the way we apprehend the world. John Mack was troubled by something that troubles us all—maybe not aliens, exactly, but a discontinuity, an absence, a lack...

The John E. Mack Institute

I could not help but recall the words of the famous investigator of anomalous experiences, Charles Fort. He'd suggested, toward the end of his life, that our world might be like a barnyard, implying that we are ignorant animals here for the slaughter and incapable of seeing the greater and more terrible meanings that surround us...

Breakthrough, 1995, Whitley Strieber

Gurdjieff's system, in brief, holds that human beings are evolving from mammalhood to immortality. Almost all
of us, he says repeatedly (and with evident joy in annoying our self-esteem), are still on the mammalian level—robots controlled by conditioning. We think we are conscious, but we aren't. We are asleep, hypnotized, sleep-walking—the metaphors vary, but they all mean that we can't see outside our conditioned reality-tunnel. When we begin to awaken, we perceive that the world is nothing at all like the myths and superstitions our society
has imposed on us. And, if Gurdjieff's allegory be taken literally, a group of Interstellar Intelligences, who have already evolved to stages less mammalian than ours, are watching us all the time and, occasionally, intervening
to accelerate our evolution toward their level.

Cosmic Trigger, 1977, Robert Anton Wilson

Those who persist in the myopic, ego-centered focus of the present will fall by the wayside as they encounter
and integrate the higher frequencies. The thrust of the momentum toward the unification of all consciousness
will not touch some and spare others. All will feel and manifest the consequences of aligning with or resisting the powerful energies of change. All will know, as they rise to the fullness of their potential as beings, or succumb to their stubborn refusal to acknowledge their connectedness, that the force they have encountered is undeniable. Some will call it God and will open with the fullness of their essence to the opportunity to integrate and
become One with All That Is. And some will grumble and curse their deteriorated circumstances and blame
 others for their plight.

As the schism widens between those living in alignment and those living in separation from the energy of Oneness, it will not be possible to maintain a position of compromise. Ultimately, the choice must be made to respond to the energy that reaches out to include you in its loving embrace. Recognizing that invitation, within the depths of one's heart, is the beginning of the process. And as the smile of inner recognition spreads across your face, you know, without knowing how, that a passionate, never-ending journey has begun.

Oneness: the Teachings, 2003, received & transcribed by Rasha

The 2012 alignment in the outer world offers a still point through which the revealing of eternity into history can occur. Human beings are the channels of this process. But we must sacrifice our attachment to illusion in order to be free to let go and open so that the eternal infinite wisdom can flow through.

Practice peace and stillness. Meditate. Let go of attachment to illusion.

The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness,
January 2005, John Major Jenkins

There is virtually no limit to the delusions that human beings can presume on the basis of their tendencies, their desiring, their motivation, their reaction to experience. Because this is so, some individuals eventually step out
of the stream of conventional relations. In other words, they at some point cease to act or live on the basis of
the ego— "I", the separate self, and they establish, instead, a sacred relationship with the Spiritual Master, by which they are relieved of the implications of having being born...

You must be established in the Real Condition or you will never be satisfied...

This world is literally being dreamed at this moment. It has no force except insofar as you live by reaction, on basis of what appears or comes across to you in the dream. You tend to make your philosophy, your way of living, out of the dream, out of the limitation that arises here, which you cannot account for. Your life must cease to take that form. You cannot make philosophy out of this world and succeed.

You would just be crazy all your life, and you would die anyway. You cannot make your way of life out of this experience here as it appears, this dream. No, you must recognize it, truly identify it. You must be awake
 relative to this experience.

You must enjoy release that a person enjoys upon waking in the morning from his or her dreams the night before. You must penetrate all the conventional forms of the dream—which, in themselves, are illusory, passing—and Realize the Truth of the dream. That is what Spiritual practice is about. That is what the Spiritual Process is all about: being relieved, ultimately, of the force of this experience, this condition, this limitation, this dream here...

It is a maddening experience, this place. It is attractive in all kinds of ways. Equal to the force of all its attractiveness is the force of all of the destruction of the Beloved. All the forms of the Beloved rot in this
place—they come to an end, they are taken away. That is the fact of it, and there is no way around it.
You must confront that.

That is the way it is here. This is not "heaven". This is not the world of the Beloved, of the Loved-One, in any form you recognize as the Loved-One. This is a dream-play on the Beloved, in which the Beloved appears in shapes and forms that are fleeting, that are (in and of themselves) binding. They attract you, and then they are withdrawn and leave you with only the craving. Left with the craving, only, you are cycled back, again and
again, into the same dimension as that experiencing reaction.

So you must recognize—and, ultimately, Most Perfectly Realize—the Beloved, appearing here in all this attraction, Which means you must enter into the Spiritual process moment to moment, rather than the conventional attempts to survive, to win, to live forever...

All else is suffering. There is no doubt about it. There is absolutely no relief in the dream...

Just as all of this now present has suddenly Appeared—as unnecessary and terrifying as it is—the Divine Self- Domain is Always Already Existing. The Divine Self-Domain is the same as no thing, no disturbance, no craving,
no separation, no birth, no event, no moment, no future, no time, no place, no suffering. The Divine Self- Domain is also exactly the same as Love-Bliss, as Fullness, as Utter Delight, as Indivisible Light, as Happiness Itself.

The Promised God-Man Is Here, 1998, Carolyn Lee, Ph.D

The world that is before you is a world of joy, a world in which you are wrapped every moment in a beautiful communion filled with golden light, supported perfectly in a gentle union with those who share your world.

Opening your heart to Me in deepest trust, you will find that you are floating through each
day in complete attunement. If you have one thought of need, you will reach out your
hand and the need will be filled...

The world that is before you is an experience of such Love, of such deep communion that
you are consciously blessed by all life around you. The wind truly sings to you of glory,
and you are wrapped in the bliss of knowing and being known, heart-to-heart,
consciousness-to-consciousness.

The world before you is composed of great trust. It is a trust deeper than any human feeling. Trust that is unshakable in its presence. Trust that lifts and colors every moment of your life. Trust that I am always here, supplying you with grace, caring for your every need, living through your heart, as you live in Me...

This world is closer than you think. It is close not only for the few of you who "know," but for
the many who are still locked within the dream, who still struggle with a nightmare of lack,
of greed, of anger and of hatred.

I am cracking open your hearts—the hearts of all My children. Just as in a dream, it is at its most intense before you wake. I am shaking awake My children. As I shake, in those last minutes of sleep, the dream of life in the world of separation is engaging those who are still asleep...

There was a time frame to our agreement that you would come to gain the precious gift of individuality. This was a precious gift beyond your ability to comprehend, for only thus could you become strong enough not to dissolve back into Me. Thus, you came to take on this life of ego and separation to learn who you are and to be able to maintain "structural integrity" in My presence. You had to be able to resist the pull of this knowingness--the great Love that would bring you back into My heart—while maintaining your identity.

Unlike most who have conjectured an evolutionary path, I now bring you the truth. You have always held within you an understanding that you had a finite time to complete your growth, for just as I breathed you out into the world of form, so will I call you back into Me.

The time is here. In the next 12 years I am bringing you Home. Twelve years to you. To Me, the moment between breathing out and breathing in. Now you are ready. You are ready to have the parameters of your world be changed and ready to experience whatever it takes to shake you all awake from the dream...
